Read the form. Understand the targets. Check the results.
TROT COURSE OBJECTIF helps you follow French harness racing through dated race information, horse histories and a visible record of pre-race analysis. This English guide explains the French racecards and the method used on the site. Detailed racecards and the interactive application are currently in French.
Open the racecards (French) →What is trot attelé?
In harness racing, the horse trots while pulling a two-wheeled sulky driven by a driver. Our programme covers French trot attelé. Mounted trotting, called trot monté, is a separate discipline and is excluded from these harness-racing selections.
You can browse meetings, race times, runners, horse numbers, drivers and trainers. Horse histories give context for recent performances; a missing history or an incomplete field can prevent a numerical analysis from being published.
How to read a French racecard
| French term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Réunion / course | A race meeting / an individual race, often shown as R3 C1. |
| Partant / non-partant | A declared runner / a non-runner. |
| Driver / entraîneur | The driver / the trainer. |
| Musique | The sequence of recent form figures, read from the most recent performance. |
| a / D / 0 | Harness racing / disqualified / unplaced in the source’s form notation. |
| Engagement | A published entry. A trainer’s stated intention alone does not confirm an official entry. |
| Arrivée définitive | The official final finishing order. |
Year markers in form figures separate seasons. Harness and mounted performances are kept distinct. Check the date of each record: a horse’s last recorded run and its next officially declared race describe different facts.

A transparent analysis score, rather than a finishing probability
When the field and the available history pass the controls, the site can publish an analysis index out of 100. The current method weights recent harness form at 60%, career wins at 25% and the horse’s relative career earnings within the field at 15%.
The index is not the probability of finishing in the top three, a guaranteed winner or a promise of betting returns. Observed preparation, gaps between runs and published future entries provide additional context. A possible trainer intention is presented as a hypothesis unless supported by an identified, dated statement; it is not silently converted into a score bonus.
Compare the announcement with the official result
The analysis record keeps the version announced before the scheduled start and compares the three selected horses with the official finishing order. The first five finishers are displayed when a definitive result is available. The top-three comparison and the winner-in-selection measure are reported separately.
Non-runners and cancelled races are treated separately. Successes and misses remain visible. A historical result without a recorded pre-race selection is not retroactively presented as a prediction. Publication records can also be archived with timestamp proofs; a pending proof is distinguished from a confirmed one.

Follow horses and racing targets
Save horses to your favourites and review their dated histories, declared entries and announced targets. Meeting weather is shown when supplied, with its date; it is not a measurement of the exact track condition. Official data can be delayed or revised, so the displayed collection time matters.
